• This story is important because there have a lot of mass shootings that happened and this has been quoted as the “deadliest mass shooting in the history”. Also, people who live in that vicinity would feel endangered and scared about the shooter. It is also because we can remember about the fallen, be more careful and cherish our loved ones because the victims could have been a friend or relative of someone and now they are traumatised or have passed on. Therefore, it fulfils the news criteria of consequence and impact, human interest and proximity

• They included this information to provide hard facts and inform people about the evidence found in the hotel room like the arsenal found. They wanted to show the profile of the shooter and how the relatives feel about the shooter.

• They provide further details on the police’s findings and how they are finding a motive from this shooter. It also provides witness accounts of the fear they felt. There were statements given by people related to culprit and even showed the impact of his actions. The phrase used “deadliest mass shooting” is for news value and helps but it’s not necessary. He gets his information from many different types of sources, such as investigators, witnesses, people related to the victims and the culprit. • The articles writes about the arsenal that culprit had- the guns . He had written about the floor the shooter is in and the amount of miles he had to trace. The article talks about how many lives were lost- 59 people and the timing and duration of shooting. The data shows how horrible this tragedy is and how demented the shooter is with the amount of guns he got.
