What do you think is the purpose of including other multimedia elements in the online story?
- They use multi-media elements in the story to inform people about the shooter’s location and to express the fear of the victims. They showed a picture of the location of how close the hotel was to the concert and what floor did the shooter fired from.They have 30 photos of the mass shooting and the victims hiding in order to convey the terror.
- They also have a lot of videos about the shooter, those who were close to him, body cams from the police at the shooting and etc.
Which multimedia element caught your attention the most? Why?
- The videos as they really delve deep on the shooter’s story such as getting statements from his brother and his girlfriend and even a statement from the vendors he got his guns and ammunition from and shows the terror he caused onto the music festival.
